


Stryker commander in a Mobile Guns System platoon as part of a OCONUS based Company with a wartime mission to deploy anywhere in the world within 96 hours as an element of the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment responsible for the combat training, readiness, health, welfare, discipline, and professional development of seven Soldiers responsible and accountable for the maintenance and operation of one ATGM Stryker Variant and all associated equipment valued in excess of $2,500,000.00 acts as the platoon sergeant in his absence. Serves as a Tank Commander in an Armored Cavalry Troop responsible for the discipline, training, morale, health and welfare of three Soldiers and their Families responsible for providing combat ready Soldiers, vehicles and equipment to the United States Army Armor School supports Program of Instruction for Armor Basic Officer Leaders Course (ABOLC), Master Gunner Course, Army Reconnaissance Course and Tank Commanders Course responsible for daily administrative operations, employment of the squad, one M1A1 Main Battle Tank and assigned equipment valued in excess of $2,500,000. Prepares M1A1 for night and day operations under all weather conditions positions M1A1 in firing position assists in boresight, screen, and zero of main gun secures, prepares, and stows ammunition loads, unloads, clears, and performs misfire procedures assists in target detection and identification operates turret and determines range to target loads, fires, clears, and applies immediate action on machine guns refuels vehicles and prepares radio equipment performs operator maintenance on turret, weapons, controls, and comm equipment assists in unit maintenance of turret components.
